Armed Forces dispatch 10 trucks of supplies to Myanmar

The Royal Thai Armed Forces delivers supplies with ten trucks to people affected by Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar via the Thai-Burmese Friendship Bridge in Mae Sot district, Tak province.

Director-General of the Civil Affairs Department, Lt.Gen.Surat Worarak (สุรัตน์ วรรักษ์), represents the Royal Thai Armed Forces in leading the caravan of ten trucks to Myanmar. The trucks carry supplies such as semi-instant noodles, eggs, and water tanks. The total supplies weigh about 100 tonnes.

Supreme Commander Gen.Boonsrang Niempradit (บุญสร้าง เนียมประดิษฐ์) presided over the ceremony to launch the caravan at the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters yesterday in Bangkok
