Thailand's Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej confirmed Tuesday that he would personally cook for his visiting Myanmar counterpart but declined to reveal what delicacy he would be serving up."It's secret and Myanmar's government has told me what kind of food Thein Sein doesn't eat," Samak told reporters at Government House before chairing a weekly cabinet meeting.
"I went to buy stuff yesterday morning," he said.
Samak will host a private dinner Tuesday night for the Myanmar prime minister at his residence on the northern outskirts of Bangkok.
Samak is a known connoisseur and previously hosted a cooking programme on Thai television until the channel closed down.
General Thein Sein is due to arrive in Bangkok Tuesday afternoon for a three-day official visit.
He will be officially welcomed and hold bilateral meetings on Wednesday.
